This paper was submitted and accepted for publication by Computer Design magazine in 1971, however, because of security reasons the U.S. Navy and his employer, Garrett AiResearch, would not approved the release of the information. It was finally released on April 21, 1998 by authority of the US Navy.

This paper will be updated as further information is uncovered. The majority of this paper was written from resource material Mr. Ray Holt saved from the F14 microprocessor project.
